Al Zdenek is Chief Executive Officer and founder of Zdenek
Financial Planning. Mr. Zdenek is a Personal Financial Specialist
(PFS) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Fewer than 2,500
CPAs out of more than 470,000 nationwide have achieved the
PFS accreditation.
Mr. Zdenek has over twenty-five years experience in providing
personal financial planning, cash flow planning, estate
planning, business management, tax planning and investment
management advice to affluent individuals, senior executives,
physicians and business owners.
Over the years he has been among those selected to appear
in lists of the nation’s top financial advisers as
judged by publications such as Medical Economics,
Wealth Manager and Worth. Also, Financial
Planning magazine singled out the due diligence process
employed by Mr. Zdenek and the Zdenek Financial Planning
team for selecting separately managed accounts money managers
for its high net worth clients as being the Best Practices
example for the profession.

Mr. Zdenek created a three-part series on personal financial

the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’
(AICPA) national newsletter, Planner. He has also
created a national financial series for Roche Laboratories
Teleconferencing Network and is a founding member and leader
in the CPA Financial Planners Forum, a nationwide network
of CPA financial planners.
Committed to sharing his expertise with others,
Mr. Zdenek has lectured on financial planning and investment
management to many organizations across the country including
the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors
(NAPFA), TD Waterhouse Advisor Direct Seminars, the American
Gastroenterological Association, the International Quality
and Productivity Center and the Healthcare Financial Management
Association, among other professional groups.
Previously employed by Arthur Young & Co., New York
City and Merck & Co., Inc., New Jersey, Mr. Zdenek founded
Zdenek Financial Planning in December 1982. He holds an
undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and a Masters
of Business Administration degree from Rutgers Graduate
School of Business.

planner, Guy McPhail manages the personal financial planning
area for the firm and provides strategic analysis in the
areas of cash flow management, tax planning, estate planning,
retirement planning, stock option strategies and investing.
He is a Certified Financial Planner® professional and
a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Previously, Mr. McPhail served as chief operating officer
and president of two telecommunications firms, and as president
of a training company for franchise businesses. In addition,
he owned and operated a CPA firm for ten years.
Mr. McPhail writes a monthly column for SmallBusinessReview.com
providing cash flow management and financial planning tips
for small business owners. He has been quoted in publications
such as Medical Economics, The Star Ledger,
Mutual Funds Magazine and New Jersey Life.
Mr. McPhail has also lectured on various financial planning
topics including tax planning, cash flow management, business
management, estate planning, planned giving and investment
management.
He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA),
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants
(NJSCPA).

Brian Picariello is a Personal Financial Planner and Investment
Advisor at Zdenek Financial Planning. Mr. Picariello manages
the tax planning area for the firm and provides strategic
analysis in the areas of cash flow management, estate planning,
tax planning, stock option strategies and retirement planning.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst®
designation and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
In addition to providing the firm’s clientele with
personal financial planning and investment management advice
and counsel, Mr. Picariello provides expert counsel on sophisticated
approaches to dealing with the exercise and sale of stock
options as well as any related AMT issues.
Previously, Mr. Picariello served as Assistant Vice President
in the Wealth Management Services’ Private Client
Group of Merrill Lynch and Tax Manager at Arthur Andersen,
LLP in their New York City office.
Mr. Picariello has been quoted in financial and business
publications and is a member of the CFA Institute, New York
Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA), the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey
Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA).
Mr. Picariello holds a B.S. in Accounting from Albright
College and a MBA in Finance from Rutgers University.

John Silletto is the Chief Investment Officer at Zdenek Financial
Planning. He is responsible for overseeing the selection and
monitoring of the money managers and their investment strategies
to which the portfolios of the firm’s high net worth
clients are allocated. Also, he works with the firm’s
financial planners in determining customized portfolio asset
allocations for clients.
Prior to joining the firm, from 1996 until 2007, Mr. Silletto
was with the investment management division of Indiana-based
Old National Bancorp (formerly American National Bancorp)
and its trust company.
From 2002 until 2007, Mr. Silletto was President and Chief
Investment Officer of Signal Capital Management, Inc., the
investment advisory subsidiary of Old National Bancorp.
In that position, he was responsible for all aspects of
investment policy governing the management of $2.7 billion
of managed client assets including the Signal Funds family
of mutual funds. Mr. Silletto led a team of 24 investment
professionals including analysts, portfolio managers, traders
and support specialists located in three regions. As a member
of senior leadership team, he also was involved in strategic
planning and project management for entire Wealth Management
Division.
Prior to that, from 2000 until 2002, Mr. Silletto was Senior
Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Old National
Trust Company, supervising the overall investment function
of the trust company that, operating in three states, managed
over $4 billion in client assets with a 15-office team of
over 130 employees serving 5,000 client accounts. Earlier,
from 1996 until 2000, Mr. Silleto was Vice President and
Investment Officer of American National Trust and Investment
Management, where he managed client portfolios and was involved
with new business development efforts.
Earlier, Mr. Silletto was Vice President and Chief Investment
Officer, NE Indiana Region for JPMorgan Chase (formerly
NBD Bancorp, Indiana), managing over 300 client portfolios
as well as four common and collective funds.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Indiana University
and completed the Cannon Financial Institute, Advanced Trust
Investment School, University of Notre Dame. Also, Mr. Silletto
holds a Series 65 License.
